1) I used the device for about 3 weeks--got it for a birthday present but didn't get around to opening and trying until about a month so ago.  Used it for about 3 weeks, then saw there was an upgrade to the software and went through that process---seemed to go smoothly except now the LED readout is blank and the player only plays the cute young girl's Carmen introduction message.

2) The files are recorded and stored per file manager--just won't play them!  

3) Erasing the files doesn't work on Mac--I had to plug it into an old PC and then I could delete the old recorded files with file manager.

4) Nevertheless, still won't play!
